What is microneedling?
Microneedling Pen treatment involves the use of a specialized device with fine needles that create controlled micro-injuries to the skin. This procedure is designed to stimulate the body’s natural healing response to improve the overall texture and appearance of the skin.
How is it performed?
Before the treatment a topical anesthetic will be applied to your skin prior to treatment to reduce any pain and discomfort. After the procedure, your skin may appear pink or red resembling a sunburn, for a couple of hours following treatment. Minor bleeding may occur depending on the depth of treatment and the number of times it is pressed across the treatment area. For a short period of time, your skin may feel warm, tight, and itchy, this should subside in 12-48 hours.
When will I see result?
You will notice some skin tightening immediately after treatment. However, collagen production and cell turnover takes time, so it will take 4-6 weeks to see the full result. Depending on the condition of your skin, it is recommended to have at least 3 treatments for results.
